How to get the free games from GOG
GOG gives away games from time to time, and they have something special: no DRM. You can download the installer and keep it, without depending on any program.
Step by step
- Go to GOG.com (from our list, press “Claim on GOG”).
- Sign in to your GOG account. It is free to create.
- On the GOG front page, find the giveaway banner and press the button to claim it.
- The game is added to your GOG library.
What does “DRM-free” mean?
The game does not check online whether it is yours. You can download the installer from your library on the website, keep it on a drive and install it whenever you like, even offline. GOG Galaxy (their app) is optional.
Tips
- GOG giveaways usually last only a few days: do not leave it for later.
- Download the installer and keep it: that way you have it even if the store changes one day.
