How to get the free games from Epic Games
The Epic Games Store gives away PC games every week. If you claim one while the offer lasts, it stays in your library forever, even if you do not install it.
Step by step
- Open the game page on the Epic Games Store (from our list, press “Claim on Epic Games”).
- Sign in to your Epic Games account. It is free to create.
- Press “Get” and then “Place order”. The total is 0: no card needed.
- Done. The game appears in your Epic launcher library and you can install it whenever you like.
When do the free games change?
Usually every Thursday at 16:00 UTC. When the new game appears, last week's game stops being free. That is why our site shows a countdown for each one.
Around Christmas, Epic usually does something special: a different game every day for about two weeks.
Do I need the launcher?
Not to claim it: you can do that on the website. Yes to play, because Epic games are installed with its launcher.
Tips
- Claim it even if you will not play it now: it is free and stays in your account.
- Always check the end date in the store: it sometimes changes.
- Turn on two-step verification in your Epic account to protect it.
